Pearls have always been our go-to option when we want to feel classy and grown-up AF.

Last year was the season of the beret and biker cap — two sartorial choices that earned major style points no matter what they were paired with.

So you've laid eyes on a handful of trends you're ready to finally try out. You've added a few of them to your wardrobe rotation, and now that spring temperatures are warming up, it's time to get going.

While it may not quite feel like it yet in NYC as I write this—46 degrees, people!—spring is, in fact, officially in full swing.

“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” That quote is one of the most iconic lines from The Devil Wears Prada.

Here we are again. Four weeks, nearly 450 shows and 18(!) memorable Kaia Gerber runway sightings later, the Spring 2019 season has come to a close. Needless to say, it was a lot to take in, but once again we’ve managed to distill a month of incredible fashion down to its 15 most important trends.

Updating your fall boot selection is hard work. After all, these (often leather) numbers usually require a serious monetary commitment. And when we shell out the big bucks, we expect style, comfort and durability in return. In a perfect world, all boots would be as timeless as that moment when we glance at their price tag.

Style seers have never been terribly concerned with arbitrary boundaries, like the divide between “day” and “night” looks; “holiday” wear and “rest-of-the-year” wear — but even less so lately.

Whilst in search of cold-weather accessories to help keep our extremities warm this winter — that is, until we inevitably lose them, “them” being the accessories, not our fingers, toes, etc. — we were struck by the brand’s ability to imbue its patented cool-girl aesthetic into even the most seemingly humdrum items. Namely scarves.

Chiropractors of the world, rejoice. Oversized bags are once again in. Though the micro-bag trend is nowhere near over (see: the rise of fanny packs), several key fashion personalities — Raf Simons, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Demna Gvasalia, Alessandro Michele, Phoebe Philo — have aligned themselves with the schlepper cause. (What can we say? Fashion tends to operate in extremes.)
