Twitter user, “An Englishman in LA”, commissioned to create artifacts for LACMA Pompeii & Roman Villa exhibition store

Twitter user, An Englishman In LA's Jeff Cane, owner of "the most unusual company this side of the 15th century", has just been commissioned by The Los Angeles County Museum of Art to create artifacts for the current Pompeii & The Roman Villa exhibition store. His pieces are so realistic that most who know his work say "they should be IN a museum" - with this commission, he's getting pretty close!

LACMA commissioned, Charger plates, very old stone tiles and an incredible parchment map of the Pompeii area (part of this map http://cli.gs/S28adb) an extremely rare 13th century map of which there is only one copy in the world. Cane has just received this letter from LACMA's VP of marketing, praising his work www.greatforgeries.com/lacma.pdf in 'forgery' terms, he's just won an Oscar!

'An Englishman in LA' has been in the business of Museum recreations and original art since 1992. In 17 years Jeff Cane has explored many unique art avenues, none more rewarding than his spiritual series, 'A Place of Angels'.
