COASTAL LIVING Magazine will publish a feature story on Interior Designer Tracy Murdock; her Malibu Architectural home designed by Award Winning Architect Frederick Fisher will also grace the cover.

Fisher's team employed mahogany, copper and textured materials to create a new modern idiom. The house was designed with the principles of hillside building in harmony with nature.

Building upon the Asian elements throughout the home, Murdock created a Japanese style master suite with a private balcony, the custom designed Japanese bed sitting high upon a mahogany platform and tatami mats to capture the stunning Pacific views and the sound of the waves. A wall of shoji doors slide open to reveal a Zen like master bathroom of black granite and white stone pebbles, where the white oval matte finished Japanese inspired freestanding bathtub becomes exposed to and a part of the bedroom. High on a double-lot pad tucked into the bluffs above Pacific Coast Highway, careful planning provides open Pacific views throughout this home that dazzle the eye.

Interior Designer Tracy Murdock is selected by Architectural Digest for publication.

Architectural Digest, the foremost Interior Design Magazine, reviewed over 300 impressive design projects from professional interior designers during their Open Audition last month during Westweek at the Pacific Design Center. Designer Tracy Murdock was one of the few selected, Our selected photo was posted on www.ArchitecturalDigest.com Tuesday, May 13th and may be published in whole or in part in Architectural Digest Magazine at a later date to be announced.

Interior Designer Tracy Murdock chosen to participate in The 2008 Fendi Casa Guest Designer Series.

Fendi Casa, the home design collection for the international luxury brand, will feature a guest interior designer every month. Tracy Murdock will be the featured designer for the month of June at The Robertson Boulevard showroom in Los Angeles.

Each guest decorator will be provided an area within the Fendi Casa showrooms, at both the Miami and Los Angeles locations, to create personalized interiors in which to showcase the artists' own aesthetics by drawing from the vast and stylish furniture and accessory lines by Fendi Casa. The launching of each month's designer showcase will be preceded by a special by-invitation-only event. At the end of the year, a 2008 Designer of the Year award will be presented to the most popular design. This innovative program with its noted Designers began in January of this year and promises to add yet another dimension to the acclaimed Italian design maison.

Noted Interior Designer Tracy Murdock was paired with Crustacean Restaurant for the Third Annual Tables of Ten - Dining for a Cause Event at The Pacific Design Center

This extravagant event brought together the worlds of design and culinary arts to create an evening exclusive to those with superlative taste and sophistication. Tables of Ten and its tabletop exhibits are created by noted designers and showrooms and were used to kickoff the Avenues of Art & Design's annual Art & Design Walk Saturday, May 31st 4 - 8pm. Highlighting the evening was dinner prepared by the area's most celebrated Chefs.

This event raises funds for Inner-City Arts, a non-profit organization which offers opportunities for children to build artistic self-expression, enhancing their ability to perform both creatively and academically in challenging environments.
