AccessoryHut.com is currently featured on page 50 of the Winter issue of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) ICON Magazine that was published earlier this month. When AccessoryHut.com opened its virtual doors to the public on February 1, 2006, the gallery also opened the doors of art studios throughout the country. The on-line gallery strategically brings the artists and interior designers together via directories and promotions to the design industry. Its artist members take advantage of the site's article and electronic newsletter promotions and are given the option to utilize the gallery's shopping cart capabilities. Interior designers are asked to keep the gallery's artist members in mind when seeking art for their design projects in exchange for their complimentary listings in the Directory of Interior Designers. Viewers can also learn about art history through the site's links to art galleries & museums throughout the world. The gallery's slogan, "Home Decor with Yesterday's and Today's Artists in Mind" was conceived because of the gallery owner's love of early to mid-20th century pottery and ceramic collecting which are displayed as groupings within the gallery. Gallery owner, Alice Krueser, explains that "Our goal is to encourage the purchase of decorative artwork that displays artistic value and/or historical meaning instead of mass produced artwork so widespread on the market today. We support and promote all levels of artists". Pictured here (photo by onioncreekstudio.com) are two pieces of exotic wood hand turned by highly skilled, San Antonio, Texas artist and member of the gallery, Terance Ramos. Whether you are seeking artwork designed and/or created by yesterday's or today's artists.....you'll find it at www.AccessoryHut.com or call 713-816-7400. Also, look for the gallery's ad in the new American Society of Interior Designers 2006/2007 Industry Partner Directory and Product Guide....page 181. I have been working on a series of paintings titled the Thread Paintings since 2003. This collection of work delicately rests on the line between the ridged, graphic elements of design and the expressive, painterly brush strokes of Abstract Expressionism. These two elements have always been in conflict within my work, but now they are forced to coexist. They must be separate, but equal, being held together by the tightest of threads.
Outdoor markets are always filled with wonderful sights and interesting people. Aix en Provence has one of the best markets and Anne Kinder captured the colorful umbrellas, the shoppers and the produce. The giclee reproductions are a series of 50, signed and numbered. The giclee is beautifully matched to the original except the artist makes the size a bit different. The image measures 14 ½ by 20. The giclee is ready for framing with off white acid-free mat board and measures 20 ½ x 26. Price includes a non-refundable $10 charge for shipping and insurance in the Continental United States.
