ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
As a musician and an artist, I get the most joy from researching and revisiting art from ages past to create something new.
ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY:
Art was a part of my life as early as age six when I began to paint with my grandmother in oils. I pursued a bachelor's degree in art from WTSU, and began working as a secondary art instructor before returning several years later to pursue my masters in communication graphics and illustration.
While working as a designer and illustrator in the Dallas area, I knew my passion was to eventually have my own studio. My talent for painting together with my designing and illustration skills make for quite a unique combination, allowing me to provide my clients with more creative and conceptual solutions.
I now enjoy working with both residential and commercial clients, creating canvases, murals, and decorative painting ranging from sports murals, to large scripture canvases, to murals and special finishes in the Southern Living Dream House, to frescoes in a castle in Newport, Rhode Island.
