Here's the Scoop
By Marcy Feld Irwin Feld Designs www.irwinfelddesign.com
Sometimes a make over is more than a make over. If the stars are aligned properly and you are fortunate enough to be discovered by Irwin, your transformation can be as radical as that of the ugly duckling that was transformed into a swan. In this case, you also need to be a scoop chair.
Irwin came upon this aged, battle scarred, scoop chair in a quaint local shop. The chair, past its prime and barely recognizable, was buried amongst other former beauties in the back of the store. Seeing the chair's hidden potential, Irwin "scooped" the chair up and brought it back to the gallery. He placed it in the basement, waiting for the perfect moment and the perfect fabric in order to begin the swan transformation.
When Irwin saw the amazing Maharam fabric, he knew it would be ideal for the scoop chair. The chair was rebuilt from top to bottom replete with a new padded seat and stands ready to serve once again.
